Role Overview:
An Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, including orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical cases.
- Establishes individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional status.
- Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals as needed.
- Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring appropriate skill levels.
- Completes accurate documentation following departmental policies.
- Provides assessment, reassessment, and consultation for occupational therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license.
- No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work four shifts every five weeks, including weekends, with hours from 7:30 or 8:00 AM to 4:00 or 4:30 PM.
- Participate in a team-oriented environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
