Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assertive Technology to provide outpatient services.
- Establishes and implements individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and appropriate equipment.
- Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals as needed.
- Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring proper skill assessment and documentation.
- Performs assessments, reassessments, and consultations to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- No prior experience required, but supervision experience is not necessary.
Key Duties:
Provide skilled evaluation and treatment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document clinical activities, and recommend appropriate interventions to enhance patient communication abilities.
