Role Overview:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care through occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans with measurable and functional goals.
- Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT assistants, rehab aides, and students.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, utilize therapy software, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan patient needs.
- Participate in community health initiatives and ensure safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate dependable attendance.
- Communicate effectively and uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified by NBCOT; licensure in applicable state and active in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
- CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation) and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and reasoning skills with good body mechanics.
