Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care through occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to all legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, assess, and modify patient treatment plans with measurable and functional goals.
  • Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT assistants, rehab aides, and students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, utilize therapy software, and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan patient needs.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and ensure safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate dependable attendance.
  • Communicate effectively and uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certified by NBCOT; licensure in applicable state and active in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
  • CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation) and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and reasoning skills with good body mechanics.
