Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab (Float)

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies.
Develop and implement individualized care plans, selecting appropriate therapies and adjusting goals based on patient and family input.
Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge details in accordance with departmental standards.
Ensure ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
Deliver exceptional customer service using AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive environment.
Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory trainings, and orientation for new staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate or higher degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Valid Occupational Therapist license, BLS certification, Georgia driver’s license, and private vehicle insurance.

Effective communication, customer service orientation, team player, and basic computer skills.

Ability to operate own vehicle for travel to patients and facilities as needed.
