Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab (Float)

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, selecting appropriate therapies and adjusting goals based on patient and family input.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge details in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Ensure ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service using AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory trainings, and orientation for new staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate or higher degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license, BLS certification, Georgia driver’s license, and private vehicle insurance.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, team player, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate own vehicle for travel to patients and facilities as needed.
