Occupational Therapist

Role & Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist plans and executes treatment programs for patients spanning neonatal to geriatric age groups, adhering to accepted occupational therapy practices.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care.
Supervises positions such as Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students/observers.
Ensures patient care, documentation, and treatment goals are met effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:
Requires ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
Must have sufficient strength, mobility, and stamina for physical activities, including lifting loads of up to 50 pounds, assisting patients, and making location changes.
Experience working with diverse patient populations is essential.
Ability to handle emergency situations, wear protective gear, and work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases, chemicals, or hazardous materials.
Strong physical and visual/hearing requirements, including the ability to see with corrective lenses and hear clearly with assistance.

Key Duties & Physical Requirements:
Involves frequent location and position changes, assisting with patient care, and performing physical activities like sitting, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and twisting.
May be exposed to infectious agents, toxic substances, and require irregular hours.
Must be able to wear protective equipment and perform activities involving continuous sitting and occasional standing, walking, or bending.
