Occupational Therapist ~ OT
Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides diagnostic evaluations and develops treatment plans to help patients maximize their functional abilities, enabling independence within their community. Responsibilities include administering therapy programs, designing adaptive equipment, and conducting home assessments. The role involves creating individualized treatment strategies for neurological, traumatic brain injury, and developmental patients, as well as educating patients and families on proper techniques and safety. The therapist also fabricates splints and adaptive devices, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with the healthcare team.
Qualifications & Skills: A Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association, and strong leadership and customer service skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use adaptive tools are essential. Experience is preferred.
Key Duties: Conduct evaluations, design and implement treatment programs, instruct patients and families, fabricate adaptive equipment, and participate in patient support groups. Adheres to safety, privacy, and workplace policies, demonstrating independence, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
