The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides patient assessments, including history and physical exams, in a designated service setting.
Reporting to an OB/GYN Medical Doctor, the NP collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality, continuous patient care and effective workflow.
Essential duties include practicing under established protocols, consulting with physicians, reviewing medical records, and coordinating with other providers.
They establish strong relationships with patients, families, and staff, delegate tasks appropriately, and apply safety principles, especially in emergencies.
The NP maintains professional accountability, participates in quality improvement, staff development, and research activities, and demonstrates excellent communication skills.
Qualifications include 3-5 years of experience, a Master’s degree in Nursing (Adult, Family Practice, or Women’s Health NP), and valid California licensure and certifications.
