Nursing Assistant, Certified – FT Evening

Role Overview:
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility, as well as recording vital signs and providing psychosocial support. The NA supports proper infection control practices, contributes to meal preparation and dining experiences, and helps maintain a clean living environment through housekeeping and laundry tasks. They also assist with wellness and recreational programs, document resident interactions, and communicate any changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, with facility-provided training if needed.
  • Ability to perform basic health care tasks, document accurately, and follow safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, compassionate attitude.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining certifications.

Key Duties:

  • Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities.
  • Record vital signs and monitor resident health status.
  • Support nutritious meal service and create positive dining experiences.
  • Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
  • Contribute to resident wellness, recreational activities, and overall comfort.
  • Collaborate with nursing team and document care interactions.
