The Nurse Practitioner will assist with the management of Pulmonary Critical Care Service Line patients, supporting Pulmonologists and consulting physicians in patient admissions, rounds, consults, history and physicals, discharges, and other clinical duties within their scope of practice.
Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program, current unrestricted Tennessee licensure, and national certification in a nursing specialty. Prescriptive authority, proficiency in assessing critically ill patients, and skills such as intubation, line placements, and ventilator management are essential. ACLS and BLS certification are required.
Preferred candidates have 1-3 years of healthcare experience, critical care background, and prior Nurse Practitioner experience. This full-time role is based in the Pulmonology Unit, working days Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
