Role: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Nephrology, providing inpatient and outpatient care on a busy medical center campus.
Responsibilities include: inpatient rounding with physician partners, assisting with outpatient dialysis, managing new consults and inpatient follow-ups for kidney injury and electrolyte issues, evaluating dialysis patients, and supporting outpatient nephrology clinics. The role involves inpatient charting, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred. Prior nephrology training is not necessary, as training will be provided.
Skills & Attributes: Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, team-oriented, and willing to learn and collaborate closely with providers. The role involves minimal weekend on-call duties (one weekend per month).
