Role Overview: An experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is sought to join an urgent care team, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions such as sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, and urinary tract infections. The role includes performing routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide autonomous patient care for individuals aged one and older, with limited administrative duties.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and access a broad network of resources and specialists.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care in a comfortable setting, adhering to professional attire guidelines.
- Participate in rotating shifts, work every other weekend, and contribute to call coverage with minimal overnight shifts.
- Enjoy a balanced schedule with observed holidays and no mandated additional shifts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and state licensure.
- Minimum six months of experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
- Ability to treat patients across a wide age range in an autonomous setting.
