Role Summary: An experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is sought to join an urgent care team, providing diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions such as sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, and urinary tract infections. The role involves conducting routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses within scope of practice.
- Perform routine exams, immunizations, and screenings.
- Work autonomously with limited administrative duties.
- Collaborate with physicians and access a broad network of resources.
- Provide care in a comfortable, professional environment without overnight or mandated additional shifts.
- Participate in call duties approximately six nights per year and work in a team-oriented setting.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania licensure for PAs.
- Eligibility for nurse practitioner licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of six months of advanced practice experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
