We are seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient addiction treatment team in Taos, NM.
Provide patient assessments, diagnosis, and management of substance use disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorder. Prescribe and monitor Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) medications, ensuring safety and adherence. Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and maintain accurate documentation. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including handling controlled substances. Provide crisis intervention and participate in quality improvement efforts. Qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree, active licensure in NM, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with some in addiction medicine preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and team skills are essential. Training in addiction medicine is provided; no prior experience required.
