Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Role Overview:

This position involves performing nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging, therapeutic procedures, and quality control independently across various settings, including portable exams and on-call situations. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, ensuring accurate and safe imaging and treatments, including PET and Theranostics procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and equipment for nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
  • Assist in quality control and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or Trade School equivalency; higher education preferred.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RT (N) or CNMT).
  • Experience in nuclear medicine is advantageous but not required; new grads are welcome.
  • Licenses may include IEMA certification (Illinois), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and relevant state licenses.
