NICU Nurse (Full-Time, Day Shift)

Role Overview: The Assistant Nurse Manager supports departmental operations, focusing on reporting, payroll, service recovery, staff communication, data collection, staff competencies, and regulatory compliance. They collaborate with leadership to promote clinical and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in staffing, revenue, and expense budget development, ensuring adherence and responding to business changes.
  • Analyze reports, identify trends in patient outcomes, and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Manage service recovery related to physician and bed management issues, supporting operational investigations and resolutions.
  • Ensure staff meet regulatory, unit, and competency requirements; conduct audits and corrective actions to maintain readiness.
  • Review staff hours, approve payroll, coordinate staff communications, and manage staffing needs, including overtime and assignments.
  • Oversee staff onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development to support operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: RN license, Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree, 2-5 years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, 5-10 years of experience, less than 2 years of supervisory experience.

Additional Information: The role may involve weekend on-call every 6 weeks. The position emphasizes leadership, clinical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and staff management to ensure high-quality patient care in a NICU setting.
