Role Overview: The RN Resident is a new graduate participating in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a successful transition into professional nursing practice. The role involves providing individualized, high-quality patient care, collaborating with an interprofessional team, and adhering to organizational standards and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities: Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based standards. Deliver patient- and family-centered care that respects cultural diversity and promotes engagement. Coordinate safe care delivery, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and support research and evidence-based practices. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, contribute to protocol development, and ensure resource efficiency. Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and safety goals.
