Role Overview
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. This position is open to all student nurses, regardless of graduation date, who must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment eligibility. Responsibilities include educating patients and families on managing their illness, using critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient responses to care. The role promotes patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development. It is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Relevant nursing experience and skills in patient education, critical thinking, and teamwork
