New Graduate Nurse – Full-Time

Role Overview:

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following completion of a nursing program and prior to licensure. They are responsible for educating patients and families about managing illness, utilizing critical thinking to evaluate needs, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. The role emphasizes promoting patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited nursing program to remain employed.
  • Participate in activities that promote patient safety and quality care.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, medication, and post-treatment care.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical thinking skills.
  • Develop and modify care plans collaboratively, ensuring patient-centered care.
  • Evaluate patient responses and adjust care accordingly throughout their stay.
  • Engage in professional development and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
