Role Overview:
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, after completing a nursing program and prior to licensure. They collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and modify individualized care plans, educate patients and families on managing illnesses, and promote a safe, healing environment. The position emphasizes critical thinking, patient safety, and professional development, requiring the ability to work safely and attentively. Qualifications: Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing. Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, and medication use.
- Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical thinking.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
