Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a neuro-intensive unit caring for patients post-cranial and spinal surgeries, stroke, or neurological conditions.
Uses advanced technology, collaborates with a dedicated team, and supports patient recovery and education.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient- and family-centered care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
- Participates in patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual preferences.
- Adheres to safety protocols, maintaining alertness and safe practice at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
