Neurology Nurse Manager

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and overseeing departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff by hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
  • Develop and adhere to staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, adjusting to business needs.
  • Provide and supervise patient care, ensuring interventions align with patients’ age and developmental needs, and document appropriately.
  • Create collaborative care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Monitor staff productivity, manage staff schedules, approve payroll, and handle staff communication and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years for RN role; supervisor experience preferred. 5-10 years of nursing experience with less than 2 years of supervisory experience is ideal.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license required.

Additional Details: Experience in neurology is preferred. The role may require flexibility to assist during urgent staffing needs. The department focuses on complex rehabilitation for adult and geriatric patients with various neurological and orthopedic conditions.
