Role Overview: A Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is sought to join a Nephrology team, providing inpatient and outpatient care on a busy medical center campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in inpatient rounding with physician partners, including evaluation of acute kidney injury (AKI) and electrolyte issues
- Assist with outpatient dialysis rounding and inpatient consults
- Manage dialysis patients and write inpatient dialysis orders
- Support inpatient charting, documentation, and outpatient clinic visits
- Handle on-call duties one weekend per month
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies (required); Master’s preferred
- Training in Nephrology not required, as training will be provided
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
