MRI Technologist – Weekender Rotation

Position Overview: This role involves performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety, and providing quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
  • Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
  • Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as needed.
  • Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomy accurately.
  • Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
  • Assist with supply management and act as a radiological support liaison to physicians.
  • Handle non-controlled medications during procedures and adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Graduate of a specialized radiologic technology program.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills.
