Position Overview: This role involves performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety, and providing quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
- Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
- Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as needed.
- Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomy accurately.
- Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
- Assist with supply management and act as a radiological support liaison to physicians.
- Handle non-controlled medications during procedures and adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
- Graduate of a specialized radiologic technology program.
- Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and equipment maintenance.
- Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills.
