MRI Technologist – Weekender Rotation

Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing imaging procedures using MRI technology, ensuring patient safety, and providing quality images for diagnostic purposes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing their questions.
  • Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
  • Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as directed.
  • Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomy.
  • Conduct equipment quality control and report irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Manage supplies and act as a liaison to physicians, providing radiological support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to start.
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and anatomy recognition.
  • Ability to operate imaging systems and perform quality control tests.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
