Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing imaging procedures using MRI technology, ensuring patient safety, and providing quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing their questions.
- Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
- Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as directed.
- Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomy.
- Conduct equipment quality control and report irregularities or malfunctions.
- Manage supplies and act as a liaison to physicians, providing radiological support.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to start.
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program.
- Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and anatomy recognition.
- Ability to operate imaging systems and perform quality control tests.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
