Role: MRI Technologist I, with potential for advancement based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and documentation.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
- Assist licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques.
- Evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer and archival, and perform post-processing if needed.
- Prepare and administer medications following legal and institutional policies.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, promoting safety and best practices.
- Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certifications: ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (MR) as required upon hire.
- Education: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, safety procedures, and patient care.
- Ability to educate others and participate in process improvements.
