MRI Technologist Weekender Days

Role: MRI Technologist I, with potential for advancement based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and documentation.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques.
  • Evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer and archival, and perform post-processing if needed.
  • Prepare and administer medications following legal and institutional policies.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, promoting safety and best practices.
  • Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certifications: ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (MR) as required upon hire.
  • Education: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, safety procedures, and patient care.
  • Ability to educate others and participate in process improvements.
