Role Overview:
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, conduct studies independently, and assist in complex exams, troubleshooting, and mentorship. They will oversee shift operations, manage workflow, and serve as a clinical resource and liaison. The role includes delegating tasks, ensuring quality control, and supporting staff training.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
- Performing imaging studies independently and in various settings
- Managing daily shift operations and workflow adjustments
- Mentoring and problem-solving for staff and students
- Maintaining supplies and communicating effectively with the team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree or trade school equivalency
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- 2-5 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Licenses such as ARRT, IEMA (excluding MRI), and additional certifications like CPR are advantageous
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
