MRI Technologist – Part Time

Role Overview:

Seeking a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients. The role involves independently conducting studies, managing shift workflows, and troubleshooting equipment issues. The technologist serves as a clinical resource, mentoring staff and assisting in training students or new employees. They also assume supervisory responsibilities in their absence and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Performing studies independently, including portable and on-call exams.
  • Overseeing daily shift operations, workflows, and assignments.
  • Providing problem-solving support and mentoring colleagues.
  • Maintaining supplies and ensuring proper communication within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate degree or Trade School equivalency.
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois only), RTR, CT, MR, or related credentials.
  • Preferred experience of 5-10 years and CPR certification.
