MRI Technologist – Part-Time

Role Overview:

Responsible for independently operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care across all ages. Tasks include patient screening for magnet safety, proper positioning, selecting appropriate coils, and adhering to scanning protocols. The role involves preparing the scan room, administering contrast within scope, and implementing emergency procedures. Accurate data entry and quality control are essential, along with staying updated on departmental changes. The position also includes providing clinical instruction to staff and students, managing workflow, and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT in Radiology & MRI, or ARMRIT; BLS certification.
  • Proficient computer, data entry, and mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of MRI procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response.

Additional Details:

  • This is a non-management role reporting to supervisory staff.
  • Work shifts vary; location is within a healthcare facility.
  • Performs duties with compliance to organizational standards and safety regulations.
