MRI Technologist – Night Shift (Part-Time)

Role Overview:

This position is for a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist working overnight shifts, primarily in diagnostic imaging procedures such as MRI. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, performing independent studies, managing shift operations, and mentoring staff and students. The technologist acts as a clinical resource, troubleshooting complex exams, and serving as a liaison between the team and supervisor. Responsibilities include prioritizing workflows, maintaining supplies, and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or Trade School equivalency
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
  • 2+ years of experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Licenses/certifications such as IEMA (Illinois), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
  • Preferred experience: 5+ years in radiology, advanced certifications, and CPR

Key Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently and in various settings
  • Oversee shift operations, adjust priorities, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Mentor and train staff, students, and new employees
  • Serve as a clinical resource, problem-solve complex exams, and escalate issues as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the team and maintain department supplies
