MRI Technologist – Night Shift

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis, therapy, or research, ensuring accurate data acquisition and analysis for licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct patient identification, proper preparation, and documentation of clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and assist in post-processing tasks.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
  • Support licensed practitioners in MRI procedures and interventional techniques, selecting suitable pulse sequences according to protocols.
  • Participate in MRI safety investigations and approval processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification in ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or similar; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Completion of Radiologic Technology training; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and medication administration.
  • Ability to evaluate image quality and work collaboratively in a clinical environment.
