Role Overview: Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures for diagnostic and treatment purposes in a fast-paced environment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and adherence to safety protocols. The MRI Tech communicates effectively, demonstrates strong clinical skills, and maintains a positive attitude in high-stress situations with patients, families, and staff. Responsible for ensuring patient safety and executing departmental policies within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI scans accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain safety standards and follow hospital policies.
- Assist in patient positioning and care during procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferably experienced MRI technologists with completion of an accredited MRI program.
- Advanced MRI certification or registry eligibility preferred.
- At least one year of radiology or MRI experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is a plus.
- Must obtain MRI certification within one year if not already certified.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Preferred credentials include ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registration.
