MRI Technologist – Evenings

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures, acquiring and analyzing data for diagnostic purposes under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct patient identification, proper preparation, and accurate documentation while respecting confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Evaluate images for proper positioning and quality, verify data transfer and storage, and assist with post-processing if needed.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risk.
  • Assist with magnetic resonance interventions and perform prescribed MRI procedures, selecting appropriate pulse sequences.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification by ARRT (MRI), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (with MRI endorsement) required.
  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate technical proficiency, and adhere to safety standards.
