Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality MRI imaging services by performing technical procedures independently, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The technologist assists with exams, prepares patients, and verifies procedures, demonstrating proficiency in MRI techniques, anatomy, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain clinical histories, follow contrast media procedures, ensure accurate patient identification, review images, respond to emergencies, and assist with all modalities when needed. Maintain a safe environment, organize workflow, and perform clerical duties to support department operations.
Quality & Equipment Management: Produce acceptable images, verify equipment calibration, report malfunctions, disinfect equipment, and operate monitoring systems to ensure optimal imaging quality and safety.
Communication & Education: Explain procedures to patients using AIDET, address questions, participate in staff training, and complete documentation and mandatory education to ensure clear communication and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires accredited MRI training, ARMRIT or ARRT MRI certification, Basic Life Support, with at least one year of MRI experience. Must possess excellent communication, customer service, multitasking, and independent working skills, along with a thorough understanding of MRI procedures, anatomy, and safety standards.
Additional Requirements: Ability to function under pressure, adhere to policies, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to take call and perform other duties as assigned is essential.
