Clinical Nurse (MRI)
Provide specialized, patient-centered nursing care for patients undergoing MRI exams. Perform patient assessments, start IV access, administer medications and contrast, and provide continuous monitoring before, during, and after imaging. Ensure strict MRI safety practices and adherence to safety screening protocols.
Key Duties
- Conduct comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Start IV lines and administer medications/contrast as needed
- Monitor patients continuously throughout MRI workflows
- Educate patients and families about the MRI process and care plan
- Collaborate with radiologists, MRI technologists, and the care team
- Maintain MRI safety standards and document patient care
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered nursing background with strong clinical assessment skills
- Proficiency in IV starts and medication/contrast administration
- Ability to monitor patients and respond to clinical changes promptly
- Knowledge of MRI safety and patient preparation
- Clear communication and patient education skills
- Team-oriented collaboration with imaging and clinical staff
