Mental Health Therapist / Intern

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern (LMHC/I) provides outpatient mental health services under supervision, gaining practical experience in behavioral health, addictions, and social services.

They support patient growth through outreach, assessment, case management, and therapy, working as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities include documenting contacts, preparing assessments using DSM-5 and other criteria, developing treatment plans, conducting individual and group therapy, and responding to crises.

Skills required include strong communication, organizational, and technological proficiency, with a focus on confidentiality and effective patient relationships.

Qualifications include being at least 21, in good standing with the Nevada Board of Examiners, passing background checks, and approved as an intern by the state.

Compensation is $48-$56/hour, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. The role requires in-person work in Fernley, NV, with relocation prior to start.
