Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely and accurately, ensuring dignity and compliance with regulations. Key duties include following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting accurately in MAR/TAR, observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, and maintaining clean medication carts and rooms.

This role plays a vital part in preventing medication errors, early identification of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred: senior care experience
