Job Summary
Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on a variety of specimens.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Maintains proper documentation and quality control procedures.
- Adheres to safety protocols and laboratory standards.
- Ensures timely processing and reporting of test results.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science preferred.
- Eligible for ASCP certification; AMT certification also preferred.
- Experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis/Body Fluids is preferred.
Educational & Certification Requirements
- Pathway I: High school diploma or GED, plus Medical Laboratory training or equivalent, with eligibility for certification.
- Pathway II: Degree in Biological Science, accredited program, and certification eligibility.
- Pathway III & IV: Similar educational prerequisites with specific certification eligibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- One or more years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of laboratory procedures.
