PRN Nurse Extern (Surgical Med-Surg Unit)
Under RN supervision, provide patient support and assist with direct care in a patient-first, collaborative clinical environment.
- Assist with basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and post-surgical monitoring.
- Help ensure patient comfort, safety, and effective communication with patients and families.
- Support unit readiness by assisting with room setup, equipment, and preparation for care.
- Assist with documentation and maintain accurate records under supervision.
- Follow infection prevention and safety practices to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and participate in hands-on learning with advanced technologies.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn clinical procedures and follow direction from RNs.
- Strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of infection prevention practices and patient-support activities.
