Role Overview: This position involves performing and reporting various laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources, serving as a technical expert, troubleshooting instruments, and assisting with new testing methods. The role includes evaluating new products, maintaining quality control, and training staff, ensuring all procedures and competencies are met.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical duties and operate laboratory instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and make operational decisions in absence of senior staff.
- Assist in implementing new tests, validating methods, and reviewing procedures.
- Interpret specialized testing and ensure quality, proficiency, and maintenance tasks are completed.
- Manage inventory and participate in staff training and committee activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or medical technology with certification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of four years of laboratory experience, preferably in toxicology.
- Strong technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret complex tests.
- Commitment to ongoing education and competency assessments.
