Role Summary: This position involves performing and reporting laboratory analyses from various specimens, serving as a technical expert, and ensuring quality in a clinical environment. The role requires troubleshooting instruments, assisting with new testing methods, and supporting the evaluation of new products and procedures. The technician will interpret specialized testing, participate in training, and collaborate on inventory management and quality assurance activities. They will also be involved in maintaining competency, proficiency testing, and procedural reviews, contributing to the team’s overall technical excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in clinical laboratory science.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program or equivalent certification.
- At least four years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical skills with instrumentation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Ability to interpret complex test results and assist in implementing new testing methods.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and training abilities.
- Compliance with competency and proficiency requirements, including passing exams.
