Medical Lab Scientist II performs complex pediatric diagnostic testing in an accredited, fast-paced clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include processing specimens, performing automated and manual assays, validating and interpreting results, and troubleshooting instruments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Key duties:
- Conduct complex diagnostic laboratory testing for infants, children, and adolescents
- Validate, interpret, and report laboratory results with high accuracy
- Troubleshoot and support instrument performance to maintain data quality
- Collaborate with pathologists, nurses, and care teams to inform critical clinical decisions
- Participate in quality improvement, mentoring, and method validation
