Role Overview:
The Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical support under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, performing tasks to promote patient health and ensure efficient care delivery. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, obtaining vital signs and patient histories, performing clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and injections, as well as triaging calls, delivering test results, and accurately documenting patient information.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- No prior experience necessary; experience preferred but not mandatory
- Certifications in relevant clinical skills and CPR preferred
Key Duties:
- Maintain exam rooms with supplies and cleanliness
- Perform clinical procedures and collect patient data
- Coordinate communication of test results and patient information
