Role Overview:
The Medical Assistant (MA) provides clinical support under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, performing tasks to promote patient health and ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms with supplies.
- Obtain vital signs, patient history, and accurately document in records.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and injections.
- Triaging calls, delivering test and lab results, and presenting information to providers using correct medical terminology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience necessary; certification or registration in area of expertise preferred.
- CPR certification and up to two years of experience are advantageous.
