Lead Caregiver
Role Overview: The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. The role combines hands-on assistance with leadership responsibilities, fostering a safe and compliant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
- Provide direct ADL support to residents as needed
- Coach caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation
- Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident conditions and communicate concerns promptly
- Support onboarding and mentor new team members
- Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
