Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations. Adheres to safety protocols, working in a constant state of alertness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN license
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and telemetry experience
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
