Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities in accordance with standards of care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual factors.
- Supports a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license, and ability to work safely and alertly.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Additional: Telemetry experience is a plus.
