Role Overview
The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time and observe residents during and after medication passes.
- Monitor symptoms, report any concerns or refusals promptly, and complete narcotic counts as per policy.
- Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Identify early health changes and prevent medication errors through attention to detail and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED and medication administration certification.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Preferred experience in senior care.
